This is a very good question with a straight forward simple answer.

We are a ministry that is forced to conduct business to continue to operate. If I could, I would give everything away. The simple truth is that we can't afford to do that.

Why Playhouse Ministries Exists

Here is the dream that drives Playhouse Ministries. Not only do I, Stan Hood, want to provide resources and insight to every church interested in providing great drama that calls people to Christ, restores the wounded, comforts those who mourn and inspires those who want to live for Christ, my dream is to put an arts center in at risk neighborhoods around the country. I want to give poor kids an alternative to sports and gangs. I want to tap into their creativity through music, dance, acting, etc. In other words, if we catch these kids early enough, we can give them hope in the midst of a hopeless situation.

So, yes, I want to raise money - but raise it with a Godly purpose. I take my lead from Jesus and His ministry while He was here on earth. Ministry was the main focus and money was only mentioned in that context - to fuel ministry.

I believe that with your help, we will erect those art centers in poor neighborhoods and we will bring change from the inside out.
