 General Questions about Playhouse Ministries

Is your material just for African Americans? Is it difficult for non-blacks to use your materials?

Absolutely not! It wouldn't be Christian if it were eclusive to African Americans. We use the words urban, inner city and African American because that is the perspective that the authors are writing from. However, people from all backgrounds have successfully used our plays, skits and especially our drama manuals.

We realize and willingly admit that some adjustments to the script have to be made, not just because of culture but because of denominational background. That's why we encourage it and allow it. However, when it comes to doctrine, you are challenged to explore the scriptures and prayerfully consider what the Bible says. No one from Playhouse Ministries will ever bother you for changing a script but you should never change a Bible truth; especially on the grounds of "you just don't like it." God never asked us to consult with Him on His Word. He simply asks us to either accept or reject it. Just something to think about.
