How do I know how much the royalty is for performing one of your plays? I have downloaded 4 of them but I do not see a royalty charge on any of them. Please contact me asap since rehearsal time is very, very close.
If you are a typical church performing the plays as a part of your ministry, you paid the royalty fees when you purchased the play. In fact, 90% of the costs on this site reference royalties. The rest is for operating our ministry. Under most circumstances, you are good to go after you've made the purchase. You can charge admission or collect an offering without penalty from us.
However, if you have reached the level of renting theater space and paying performers, you have become a professional group and should inquire about royalties to avoid problems with Playhouse Ministries and/or it's contributing authors.
