Dear Drama Ministry Leader,

  I've spent the last two years putting together the best package of original material possible to make your life easier.  With any ministry in the church, there comes a boat load of trials and errors.  Being a pastor and a drama ministry leader myself, I know what it's like to receive something that is either incomplete or doesn't work as advertised.  That's why I've spent two years writing - and the past two summers testing my new techniques to make sure that you will be satisfied from the moment that you open your package.

  With that said, let's make this as short and sweet as possible.  Over the last ten years, Playhouse Ministries has put out an organized compilation of plays and ministry tools for local churches called Drama Tools.  Every other year, we've released versions 1 through 5.  We've learned more with each version but to be honest with you, I've felt like a musician trying to make the perfect album.  Even when it's finished, a good musician will always feel like they could have done more.   To take the metaphor further, there have always been a few number one hits within each version of Drama Tools but I've never been able to put a package out that was a complete blockbuster success - until now.

  Drama Tools Deluxe Edition is exactly what it sounds like.  Most drama resource centers are obsessed with quantity.  The figure that the more plays and skits that are included, the better the resource will be.  However, experience has taught us that this couldn't be further from the truth.  Frankly, the more junk that you throw in a package, the harder it is to find the good stuff.  It's like digging through the five dollar movie bin at Wal-Mart.  You know it's a deal in there somewhere but it's just not worth looking for.  I've found out through talking to churches over the years that quality trumps quantity any day.  Most active drama ministries perform perform four to six plays per year.  Only two of those are going to be longer than thirty minutes or so.  Those are the facts.
